BEAUTY FROM ASHES

“You cannot bear the weight of this pressure alone…Lean, daughter, lean.”

God knew the pain and struggle I was going through. As I opened my devotional, I read this phrase and I felt it speak to my heart.
It was as if the words were coming alive.

It was like I could hear God speaking these words of comfort and encouragement to me. 

“…the words were coming alive.”

We all struggle with different situations and we are all going through different seasons in our lives. There are many inconstant moments we might live through but there will always be a Constant in our lives…God. Life can change within a split second…yet God remains the same! He has promised to never let us go, to never leave us alone.
His Word says to not depend on our strength, on our own understanding but to depend on Him. It is through immense pressure that diamonds are made, grapes are crushed into wine, olives are pressed to release oil, intense heat purifies gold, rough sand causes pearls to be formed…

We need to allow God to take us through those different seasons of life, so that God can continue to transform us. How do we expect to be made new if we’re not allowing God to break us?

All we have to do is lean on Him. He’ll take us through it all! We don’t have to carry the weight in our own! He’s promised to be with us even in the most overwhelming, most frustrating and loneliest of days. 

Do we have faith that God will keep His Word? Do we believe that He will hold us up?
